April 20, 2008well done, my friends. i believe, the gig is as good as ours. juxtaposing the different packages to lead her towards deciding on the full package was genius. self-high-five! but you two, i applaud you. no two people i have ever met, and this includes all the theatre relations, is more convincing when it comes to spending up to 15,000 dollars on a party. bravo, you two. bravo!
and you’re right, cookie. this means, for the next couple of moths, we’re going to have to calculate everything. from gas, food, time, and delineate a percentage based off of that fromula. 20 percent to bank, and the rest divied between us with that formula. after we meet on tuesday with the audio/visual company, let’s take an hour or two to come up with the master list of roles and responsibilities so we can figure out the hard numbers.
this is going to get hard. we want all three gigs, right? plus the school teaching and random things here and there. it’s possible all three of us can do it. but we should also, as we figure out the numbers, figure out a schedule that works with all three of us for the entire upcoming season. if there are too many discrepancy, i advise we hire an assistant. we’ll be making enough money anyway, so why not? this was the plan anyway. to eventually hire our replacements so all we have to do is collect ownership percentages and concentrate on building other businesses.
this is good. we’re on the right track. developing self-sustaining companies, creating the structures and guidelines necessary to their longevity, and owning them. it’s all about accumulating as many small legs as possible so as to never have to worry if one of them falls. we’ll still be able to move. we’re the caterpillar.
good job everyone. i’m glad we got over the hump.
see you on tuesday.
